Classic Tour Egypt, Cairo- tour the Pyramids and Ultra Luxury cruise

Our representative will be met who will assist you in getting your visa, then will escort you through immigration, luggage, and on to your air-conditioned bus for the Four Seasons Hotel.

After breakfast, you will meet your guide in the lobby and start your tour to the great pyramids of Giza; you will take a camel ride into the desert with amazing pictures of the pyramids behind you (voluntary, of course) we will see the sphinx. Then a drive to what left of Egypt’s ancient capital: Memphis, where we will see the statue written about by the poets Shelley and Smith called Ozymandias. We will also see a colossal sphinx made entirely of alabaster. Then we will head to Saqqara for the first pyramid built by the architect Imhotep called the Step Pyramid; we will explore its hidden underground chambers, visit the pyramid of Unas, and a mastaba of one of the noblemen. After this full-day, we will return to our hotel Marriott Mina House, Pyramid View room. Meals B.L.

After breakfast this morning, we will head to the Egyptian museum with the most extensive collection of exclusively Egyptian artefacts, including the gold and golden mask of King Tut. We will also visit the royal mummy room with all the ancient pharaoh’s whose tombs and temples you just saw. Then we will drive to Old Cairo to visit the oldest churches, synagogues, and mosques in Cairo. Drive back at the Marriott Mina House, Pyramid View room. Meals B.L.

After Lunch, you will visit the Luxor East bank. We will stop at the largest temple complex globally, the 64 acre Karnak temple, with its oldest parts from 2000 BC and added onto for 1200 years of pharaoh’s dynasties. Then we will follow the Sphinx avenue to Luxor Temple, much smaller but just as interesting with the remnant of Ancient Egypt, Ancient Rome and even Coptic and Islamic era building. We will then head to our Ultra Luxury Nile Cruise Sonesta Sun. Meals B.L & D.

We will start early and leave our boat after breakfast today and head to the Valley of the Kings, where you will see tombs looking like they were just carved and painted yesterday. The colours and skill will amaze you, and your personal Egyptologist will explain the purpose and symbols of the journey to the afterlife depicted on the walls. As a special treat, you will see the small but amazing tomb of King Tutankhamen with his mummy still residing there. We will then visit the Worker Village, where you will see the middle class’s life who worked on the tombs; you will have a chance to visit their tombs, much smaller than the king’s tombs but well preserved with amazing colours. We will then visit the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut and walk up the ramps where her priests paid homage for generations. Finally, on our way back to the cruise ship, we will stop at the Colossi of Memnon, the huge statues of Amenhotep III. We will return to the Nile and check into our Ultra Luxury Nile Cruise Sonesta Sun. Meals B.L & D.

After breakfast, we will meet our guide, who will take us on a horse and carriage ride to the Temple. Edfu Temple is the best preserved of temples in Egypt and dates to Egypt’s Greek era, 237 BC. This is the best example of a fully intact ancient Egyptian temple with the sacred boat still in the holy of hollies. We will be back to the cruise ship by lunch and enjoy the afternoon back on the ship and leave Edfu for Komombo. After the short cruise, we will visit the Temple right on the Nile river. Your expert guide will tell you of the two gods this temple dedicated to and the amazing medical science the ancient Egyptians had by showing you medical tools carved into the walls. Next to the temple is the crocodile museum, where we will see mummified crocodiles up to 25-foot-long and sculptures dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god. After breakfast, we will visit the High Dam in Aswan and discover its history. We will take a small boat to visit the island temple of Philae, moved due to the dam’s water. We will visit the biggest obelisk ever attempted in situ in the granite quarry. After a sailboat (felucca) ride and lunch, we will be back at the ship, enjoying the evening’s entertainment at our Ultra Luxury Nile Cruise Sonesta Sun. Meals B.L & D.

After breakfast, we will check out the cruise ship and board our air-conditioned bus for the trip to Abu Simbel, the most giant statues in Egypt of Ramses the Great. We will also visit the temple dedicated to his wife Nefertari, then drive back to Aswan airport to catch your flight to fly back home. Meals. B & L.
