Tour Karnak and Luxor Temples.
After having your breakfast, you will meet your private Egyptologist Tour guide to starting a private guided tour to.
Karnak Temple.
It is the largest religious complex in the world and was built and dedicated to Amun Ra, the King of Gods in ancient Egypt. The temple covers 60 acres and is surrounded by a mud-brick enclosure wall that measures nearly 580 m long and 450 m wide. The areal makes for easy walking. The impressive size of the columns and walls of the temple are fascinating. The oldest surviving block of stone dates back to 2050 B.C, and the newest dates back to 300 B.C which means the timeline for building the temple spans 1650 years. As it was the most important cult temple in Luxor, all kings of ancient Egypt listed their names on its walls. You can say it is a history book. After we finish the Karnak temple, we will drive back to our hotel to relax.
Luxor temple
45 minutes before sunset you will meet your private guide to start walking to Luxor temple, the temple is much smaller than Karnak, but it looks so beautiful after the sunset when it is the best chance to take photos while it is lit up at night. The oldest surviving section of the temple dates back to the reign of the female pharaoh Queen Hatshepsut. Many kings like Amenhotep III (1390 B.C), King Rameses (1250B.C), King Tut Ankh Amun (1320 B. C) and King Alexander the Great left their imprints. After we finish the tour we will walk around the Souk at the heart of Luxor city; then we will take a horse carriage ride to explore the sphinx avenue that is connecting between Karnak and Luxor temples. Dinner will be served at Sonesta Saint George.
